Symptoms
White powdery coating on leaves, stems, and sometimes fruit. Leaf curling and distortion. Premature leaf drop. Reduced yield.
Prevention
Ensure good air circulation. Avoid overhead watering. Plant resistant varieties. Do not overcrowd plants. Remove infected leaves promptly.
Treatment
Organic
Potassium bicarbonate spray (1 tbsp per gallon). Neem oil. Sulfur-based fungicide. Milk spray (1:9 ratio).
Chemical (last resort)
Apply myclobutanil or trifloxystrobin. Start treatment at first sign. Rotate fungicide groups.
